ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya formerly known as Charu Chandra Evening College started its journey on 15th July 1985. Charu Chandra Evening College was officially known as Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya from 1st July 2005 and it shifted from evening to day college from 1st July 2005.
Hindi is being taught since 1985. Elective Hindi was introduced from the academic session 2005-06. One full time post was approved and sanctionedin the college by the Govt. of W.B.
During the past years the following g teachers were associated with the department of Hindi:

<li>Dr. Jagannath Seth&nbsp;</li>
<li>Dr. Arun Hota&nbsp;</li>
<li>Dr. Nandita Mukherjee</li>
</ul>
The students of this department generally belong to Hindi speaking family. But a good number of students from non-Hindi speaking family take Hindi as one of the subjects. Performance of the student in Hindi Department is quite satisfactory.
