CC1 Indian : Epistemology and Metaphysics.
-Provides an overall idea about the Indian schools of philosophy.
-Helps the students realise their roots and provoke their spiritual curiosity.
&nbsp;
CC2 Western : Epistemology and Metaphysics.
-Helps the students to grasp the concepts of rationalism and empiricism and the critical theory of Kant.-thus it enhances the philosophising skills of the students. How causal theory relates the cause and effect.
-How realism and idealism extend their perspective of life and world view.
&nbsp;
CC3 Western Logic.
-provides the students with a basic understanding of the elements , methods and rules of western logic.
-Helps students to enhance their logical thinking and reasoning skills.

Sec A2. Business Ethics.
-Creates awareness among the students about the measures that must be taken to conduct business while protecting the environment given the ongoing environmental crisis.
-Informs the students about the requirements and criteria of an ethical businessman.

CC4 Philosophy of Mind.
-Provides knowledge on the basics of psychology which is growing in importance in present day.
-Introduces the students to the Philosophy of Mind.

SEC B1 Man and Environment.
-Equips the students to be able to distinguish between the anthropocentric and non anthropocentric approaches towards the environment.
-Helps the students to enquire about the intrinsic value of the environment through theories like Deep Ecology.

DSE -A1 Ethics : Indian and Western.
-Introduces the students to some important concepts in Indian Philosophy like Purusarthas and so on.
-Also provides the students with an insight into important aspects Western Ethics, for example the theories of punishment.

DSE B 1 Practical Ethics and Philosophy of Religion.
-Makes the students aware about the practical application of philosophy in real life.
-Equips the students with critical thinking as they are introduced to feminism, environmental ethics and other burning contemporary issues.

BA. ( General) CBCS Syllabus in Philosophy
-Graduates will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Philosophy (both Western and Indian) and their various schools of thought.
-They will possess advanced analytic thinking skills through proper study of Analytic Philosophy. It helps them to assess various situation sin their lives.
-They will develop logical and critical attitude because the study of logic helps to think critically and logically. This will enable the graduates to argue in a constructive way.
-The study of Ethics will help the Graduates to develop a strong moral character and personality: the course introduces the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong.
-The course will enhance their communication skill and they will be able to grasp an issue from different viewpoints to arrive at a rational solution.
-Philosophy helps them to acquire an integrated, holistic view of life and world.
-They will be prepared for further academic pursuits or professional careers like education, media, ethicists in Business company.
