ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Department of Commerce&nbsp;
&nbsp;
The Department of Commerce at Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya (formerly Charuchandra Evening College) is functional since the inception of the college in 1985. The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The Undergraduate (UG) and the Postgraduate (PG) courses are therefore aligned to the syllabus of the University of Calcutta. The college introduced the PG section in the year 2013-14.

Mission
To develop finance professionals with an outlook characterised by critical thinking, innovation, ethical values and social sensitivity to address contemporary global issues, opportunities and challenges.
&nbsp;
Vision 
To develop a robust teaching-learning ecosystem within the department and beyond, with an aim to create future professionals, entrepreneurs and researchers with a global outlook characterised by awareness of contemporary economic, financial, social, governance, legal and environmental aspects.

Objectives of the Department:
